HOW DO I ENROLL INTO EPHS? You can not enroll directly into EPHS. You must be referred to the program by a Long Beach Unified School District High School. If you have been attending school in Long Beach, go to your home school and ask your counselor for a referral to EPHS. If you are new to this school district, go to the high school closest to you and ask for a referral. Be sure to take a copy of your immunization record and all credits you have already earned in high school. Do not have yourself dropped from a LBUSD high school if you are currently enrolled. You should remain enrolled until you have been accepted into EPHS. Here are the telephone numbers of the Long Beach high schools:
Alternative Education Programs Long Beach Unified School District offers numerous alternatives to traditional high school. While we do hope you make EPHS your first choice; we also understand that it may not be the best fit for you. Here is a listing of the alternative education programs available through the district.
Open to 11th graders and 12th graders. Students are able to earn 50+ credits a semester. Student must referred. Evening

Students in grades 11 –12 may enroll in classes to make up deficiencies. Students are enrolled in at a comprehensive high school during the day and attend additional classes in the evening.
Long
Beach School for Adults 3701 E. Willow Street Long Beach, CA 90815 (562) 595-8893 Concurrent Enrollment at LBSA Students may concurrently enroll at LBSA in seat time instruction classes or the Plato Labs. EPHS students may take classes we do not offer. They may also enroll in the Literacy Lab for additional support. Students must be at least 16 years old and read at the 9th grade level. (Reading is tested upon entry.) Students wishing to enroll concurrently must have a referral completed by the counselor.
Regular Enrollment at LBSA To enroll as a regular student students must be within 2 months of their 18th birthday. They require a referral by the sending school. 18-year-old students need only take a copy of their transcripts. LBSA also offers ESL and citizenship classes to adults. LBSA does not accept Special Education students. ROP
(Regional Occupational Program)

ROP offers a variety of skills classes. Students must be at least 16. Referrals can be obtained from the teacher. Students enroll at the EPHS administration office.
